Season of the Lost
After the raid, farmed the Master Lost Sector to get gauntlets on my warlock. Got me 1329. The raid got me 1330 weapons in all slots, did strikes and got gauntlets. Still have NF 100K, Crucible and Gambit left.
Just need helmet, chest, legs and class item to hit 1330.
If I can get a helmet improvement, that should put my Titan at 1328, which would put my +2 drops at 1330.
New Trials is fantastic.
First time ever going Flawless, didn't even need the Mercy as had an 11 game win streak. All in all, 34 games played 23-11 record.
Loot was 5 Ascendant Shards, 11 Prisms, numerous Cores, 2 helmets, gauntlets, 2 chests, boots, cloak, 4 SMGS (2 adepts), 3 LFRs, 2 swords, 1 hand cannon.
A mode that once frustrated me to no end is now enjoyable. Mostly, still a little salty about getting DDoSed that one game.
Changes are awesome; fun because the loot rains and also because the games have almost all been pretty laid back. Much better than getting two wins and then seeing nothing but flawless players all rocking the same boring meta game after game.
LOL Trials is still a slog for me. It's always going to be. I did get the pinnacle and a few tokens.
PC is a different beast. Anti-cheat or not, there's still lot more layers of nonsense you have to deal with.
Really enjoying the new Trials. Looked at Trials report and out of 117 matches had a 53% winning percentage and a 1.19 true KD (not efficiency) which is a pretty significant improvement. Managed to go Flawless twice. Once in solo queue with my Titan when I was just casually playing and once on my Hunter with Patriot. After that was just running for materials. Didn't really track how many Prisms and Cores I got but I managed to get 7 Ascendant shards Sunday alone.
Also got the full armor set for Hunter and Titan and all but two pieces for my Warlock. I could have grinded it for my Warlock but I just don't enjoy PvP that much on my Warlock. I'll knock it out for Pinnacle runs each week and that'll be that. Weapon wise got a few rolls on the Adept Smg, couple versions of the sword including one with chain reaction which is what I wanted, a triple tap/firing line Reed's Regret which I really wanted, a new Messenger with a "meh" roll, few rolls on the HC and a new version of the sniper.
Think I'll end up running some more tonight before it goes away. Actually think I may be able to get this seal now
Strange, first one I did was awesome the second and third didn't seem to work.
I usually run Recovery/Resilience in PvP. So I made the ghost mod Resilience and rolled recovery.
Boots I rolled were 12 - Res 20 - Rec 20 -Int (67 total)
Gauntlets were 2 - Res 29 - Rec 11 - Strength (63 total)
Helmet was 2 Res - 29 - Rec 22 - Dis (64 total)
Ghost mod should have prevented Res from dropping below 10 but 2nd and 3rd each dropped at minimum
I need 4 ascendant shards to have a 100 mobility, 90 recovery, 90 strength PvP build using Graviton Forfeit.
It's needing that, and having no easily accessible way to get it, (slogging through crappy NF's on a high difficulty for an RNG chance isn't fun) that really frustrates me.
Looking forward to tomorrow.
Hopped on for a bit today to do some inventory cleanup and set up my Hunter for tomorrow.
Going into the dungeon blind with my Hunter first using my Revenant Assassin build (which will get better tomorrow). Will depend on the enemy types and stuff, going in first with Huckleberry, Null Composure, and Ascendancy.
New dungeon is a lot of fun. New activity is pretty fun as well, and worth grinding until I get a good roll on the BR.
Both Forerunner and Gjallarhorn acquired.
I'm pretty happy with all of it. Not sure if I can do this dungeon solo.
Have made it to the boss solo, will finish tomorrow. Sadly it won't count as a solo since I didn't do it all in one run, but it's the practice of it.
I solo'd Shattered Throne and Pit of Heresy, never really tried with Prophecy despite it being my favorite one.
This one I think will probably be the easiest, and I can definitely see getting a solo flawless here. Tricky part will be the sparrow section.
EDIT: Couldn't help myself. Went back in, finished it off solo on the warlock. No deaths at final boss. He just takes too long because of the shank and the vandal in the middle. Three phases. Pretty easy overall.
I'd say easy on warlock anyway. Found out during the ogre encounter that you instantly get your super when you get 10 stacks of burdened by riches. Had to pop my Well because a knight was about to kill me, collected 10, instantly got it back. Allows you to not have to hold onto your super for damage phase.
I've never been able to solo dungeons and this one will be no exception. I made it as far as the shielded ogre and you know have to get the scorched cannon, shoot the doors open, and the @#$ing timer is running once you pick up those engrams and all the rest of that... no way. I'll have to get a team together or it's just one more damned thing I probably won't get done in this game. Life's too short.
Join up with us sometime, we'll get it knocked out for you.
Here's where I'm at with Destiny currently.
The new dungeon is awesome. Not quite as fun as Prophecy, but still great content in a group or solo. The easiest dungeon solo by far.
The Dares activity is fun, but like with every similar activity, it gets old fast. I'd like to have the Forerunner catalyst, but I don't see running that activity that many times.
The Dawning I'm usually all over, and this year I just can't be bothered. I'd really love the Subsistence/Reservoir Burst roll on the fusion, but it's RNG on top of RNG on top of RNG. I don't have the desire to grind it like that.
First time I've been playing different games when new content and an event came to Destiny and the game didn't manage to pull me back in.
I'll hop on for a few minutes and do a little bit, but unless I'm doing something in a group, I just don't care for it at the moment.
I'm done with all the 30th-anniversary stuff. I got everything.
The dungeon? It's good. I can't do it solo but I do know how to do it and I can even go in with randoms and get it done. I am not really feeling compelled to grind that dungeon for that hand cannon and I'm annoyed that's the only way to get it.
I got the forerunner catalyst. The Halo gun. It's fun to use.
I needed that work to build up some loot and resources anyways. What I do with tedium like that is spread it out and I typically kill all the audio except basic sound effects and I just listen to other things and after x amount of time that's it for the day. I learned that you get the most points per round if you stay in "30th-anniversary content" for the points streak. You can go in orbit, go to dares, go to Treasury but don't leave because that drops the points. I had some rounds where I got almost 200 points on a streak and ranked up relatively quickly.
It is what it is. A grind but you don't have to do it on legend to get it. Doing legend makes no difference on rank up points, either.
