College Football 2021
Preseason Coaches Poll:
- Ohio State
- Texas A&M
- Notre Dame
- Iowa State
- North Carolina
- Penn State
- Oklahoma State
- Coastal Carolina
- Ole Miss
Season officially begins August 28th with a slate of games few people will care about.
Better games begin Thursday, September 2nd. I'll probably flip between Bowling Green/Tennessee and Ohio State/Minnesota.
Friday, September 3rd, North Carolina/VTech and Michigan State/Northwestern.
The Saturday games I'll be checking out are Penn State/Wisconsin, Alabama/Miami, Georgia/Clemson, LSU/UCLA. Will probably catch a little of the crap games like Akron/Auburn, Rice/Arkansas and Florida Atlantic/Florida.
No idea how or why UNC was voted a top ten team considering they lost their top two backs and considerable production from their WR corps. And that's not even knowing what they have to replace elsewhere in the lineup. Yeah, the QB is good, but this seems overly optimistic out the gate. Hopefully VT has something to remedy that.
The three conferences remain competitors in every sense but are committed to collaborating and providing thought leadership on various opportunities and challenges facing college athletics, including:
• Student-athlete mental and physical health, safety, wellness and support
• Strong academic experience and support
• Diversity, equity and inclusion
• Social justice
• Gender equity
• Future structure of the NCAA
• Federal legislative efforts
• Postseason championships and future formats
Meanwhile, the SEC will remain committed to winning championships and cashing checks.
Providing "thought leadership"...give me a $&#@^!* break.
Well it's just 1 game, but defense seems to be back in Blacksburg.
Calm down Patriot, Bama will be fine. It's just the first game, I know a 31 point win over Miami isn't quite up to expectations, but it'll be okay.
Tennessee fans are crazy and #FireFuente
Tennessee fans are morons. Embarrassment.
Brad Cornelson is a moron. It's an embarrassment that Justin Fuente won't fire him.
Yes, I agree.
