[Sticky] Currently Playing/Have Beaten Thread
Too lazy to copy over my list from the other board(so far), but this thread is still my pride and joy.
Finished the campaign on Outriders today. Promoted XCOM Enemy Unknown into my primary playing slot.
Have gotten back into Rise of Nations on PC.
Still one of my favorites.
In addition to working on XCOM, I've also been working side missions and World Tiers on Outriders(still need to get into some expeditions) and trying to Platinum Spider-man.
Spidey Platinum complete.
Need to finish the last few trophies for Outriders before the next season begins in Destiny.
Yeah I need to get back to Outriders. Need 2 or 3 more for the platinum.
Completed my first playthrough of Resident Evil: Village and really enjoyed. Want to do at least two more runs but not in a huge rush.
Also been putting time in ESO and made it up to 181 I believe; maybe slightly higher.
Beat XCOM: Enemy Unknown
That was fun for a while, but pretty repetitive and it just got brutal the longer it went.
So, as stated above, my PS4 is new (to me) and Jesus mother fuckin’ Christ do I hate what is to me the new generation of WWE2K (On PS4 I’m playing ‘19, and going from having played ‘17 on 360). It seems like I can’t win (in my career) unless I get through all my shit without the opponent doing any of theirs.
I can’t reverse anything, I can’t kick out of anything, and I can’t escape a submission.
I lost in my first attempt at my third match (the falls count anywhere deal) to an armbar. Not a real, cross arm breaker/shoot armbar, but a pro wrestling style, my wrist under his armpit and his hand lightly on my ribcage armbar.
I’ve never been the type that “enjoys a challenge” in video games, and that’s been mostly fine because video games haven’t been much of a challenge to me anyway, at least not to the point of being maddening like this. Not in the beginning. Not when I have it set on easy so I can get used to things.
Not only is it no fun at all for me to get my head kicked in like this, but at the same time, my memory from when you guys got your PS4s is that you were all saying how easy you thought it was, and meanwhile, I’m seemingly completely incompetent over here.
Maybe it’s just because the MyPlayer starts out so terrible anyway. I had no problem getting squashed by Braun Strowman in the cage match. That seemed pretty unavoidable when the first time he touched me, that part of my body turned red. But this dude in the third match is the same dude I killed in the first match. How many levels could he possibly have gained in the, like, couple of weeks since last we tangled?
It would also be something I could deal with if the story branched upon my losing, but I can’t proceed beyond this match seemingly if I don’t win with my, like, 53 overall character. Someone rated 53 overall should be hoping to win, not being expected to win. The girls in the game aren’t even rated that low. Goddam Maria’s a 69 for Christ’s sake.
I don’t know.
It seems like they made it hard just to twist my arm into, like, buying the “privilege” of being remotely competitive on the outlaw circuit.
For what it’s worth, I hope this isn’t interpreted as just bitching for the sake of it— I want help or advice if any is to be had.
Also, how’s everyone been? I’m completely out of the loop and out of touch. I didn’t even know the board had been moved. That’s how lazy I’ve been.
What’s everyone’s PSN name? Mine’s the same as here and most other places— I had to necro my old account from when I had a PSP.
As I write this I think I’m recalling that G, you’re PatriotPaine, right? What’s everyone else’s name? Maybe I’ll find a couple of you after I friend request G in a second here— if it’s even called that on PSN.
I wasn't a big fan of WWE 2K19 (and didn't even bother getting 2K20 because of it), but the MyCareer stuff is straight garbage.
Good to see you here Ceebs.
I nerfed the sliders and am having a little bit better time now with 2k19. Also downloaded Steep and my 90’s attires I bought are nowhere to be seen and I saw online that no one else’s show up either, so at least I’m not alone in that. Hashtag Facepalm. Also I’m right now as I type this playing RDR 2 for the first time, so here goes nothin’.
The Diablo 2 beta made me start playing Titan Quest again, and having a lot of fun with it.
Also be working in some NASCAR Heat 5 career mode, a little Tribes of Midgard, and some Sonic Mania.
Will probably end up finally picking up the Atlantis and Ragnarok expansions for Titan Quest. First time playing as a Hunter/Nature build, it's a blast.
Finished the campaign on Titanfall 2(XBone). Pretty enjoyable.
