Kiss the Girls Review

After his niece is abducted, criminal psychologist Dr. Alex Cross (Freeman) goes to North Carolina to aid/follow the investigation. What he learns is that his niece, Naomi, is the latest “trophy” of a man who calls himself “Casanova,” a man who collects women, but not necessarily for the purposes of killing them.

Shortly after Casanova takes Naomi, a medical intern, Dr. Kate McTiernan (Judd), is taken. McTiernan is able to escape the clutches of the self-proclaimed greatest lover though, and joins forces with Cross and the police in hopes of catching the madman and freeing the women she left behind.

Their journey takes them across the country to California when they discover that a series of abductions that matched the ones in North Carolina was occurring, and were only days apart. This is about the time that the story really starts twisting and turning.

Three stars just feels right for this movie. Lots of good things here, but some minor stuff here and there, which individually aren’t even worth mentioning, make for the score. As usual, Freeman is excellent, Judd does a decent job, and Cary Elwes also gives a solid performance. Go pick this one up at Wal-Mart, you should find it in the $5.50 bin.

Kiss The Girls gets a three out of five: GOOD.

  1. One of the ultimate TBS movies … when TBS still showed lots of movies.

    • Yeah this was a really good flick. I remember when it originally came out, the local theaters wouldn’t show it since some girls in the area had been abducted around that time. Had to wait for it to come out on video. Hard to believe it’s been that long ago.
