WWE 2K19 Will Showcase The Return of Daniel Bryan

WWE 2K19

The popular single-player, story-driven campaign 2K Showcase is returning in WWE 2K19 and this one focuses on the career of Daniel Bryan and his return to wrestling after being forced to retire over two years ago.

Daniel Bryan himself announced the new mode at Aberdeen High School, where Bryan graduated from in 1999.

The Return of Daniel Bryan 2K Showcase will allow players to recreate 12 matches from Bryan’s career. 11 of them are “historic bouts” and one is a surprise battle. Completing objectives in each bout will allow players to unlock playable characters, arenas, attires, championships, and more.

Daniel Bryan himself will speak about the significance of each milestone and objective players hit. The Showcase includes 15 interview packages with Bryan and 20 cutscenes, all “designed to emphasize the featured moments.”

Here’s what the Showcase mode includes:

  • 12 unique matches, including 11 historic bouts from Bryan’s career and one surprise battle
  • Nine historic arenas that featured prominently in Bryan’s career, including the venues for WrestleMania XXX and Velocity
  • 11 different playable character models for Daniel Bryan, with each one featuring their own move sets and unique appearances
  • New entrances and victory scenes, including a special surprise when Bryan competes with Kane as part of Team Hell No
