It’s Thanksgiving Day here in the United States, and all of us at Vortainment would like to wish all of our fellow American visitors a very Happy Thanksgiving.
Lots of food will be ate of course. Football will be watched, although for me that’s not any NFL game but rather some SEC action as Mississippi States takes on Ole Miss in the Egg Bow.
Many of you will venture out to stores and engage in Black Friday madness. Not my cup of tea, but for those that partake in that savagery be safe.
As we give into gluttony, it’s still important to remember that the day isn’t about eating as big of a feast as you can, but rather a day to be thankful.
If you’re an unhinged, radical alt-left communist SJW, like the kind that thrive on the hate forum that is ResetERA, be thankful for things that you have and the people in your life and don’t try to ruin Thanksgiving for your family by showing them how “woke” you are. With that said, everyone should leave their politics at the door and enjoy the day with family and friends.
Now for the site note. The holiday season is usually a slow one here, in fact there’s usually no posts at all in December. Due to our unfortunate setback earlier this year, where we lost our domain and have had to rebrand and start from scratch essentially, that won’t be the case this year.
We’ve got several game reviews coming up. In fact, we’ll probably post more new game reviews in December than we have the rest of the year combined. Our Fallout 76 review is coming, we’ll have a review of the PC action-RPG Book of Demons posted on the 13th. We’ll have a small review of the Black Armory DLC for Destiny 2, and a review for Warhammer: Vermintide 2 as well.
We’ll hopefully get a review of the tactical strategy game Mutant Year Zero out in December, though that depends on whether or not we get a review code. And finally I hope to be able to play enough of Path of Exile to get a review of the PS4 version of that reviewed in December as well.
In January 2019, we’ll be simplifying our game review scoring system. I’ll have a post up next month detailing the change, but basically for our game reviews only we’ll be ditching the five star scale (which right now essentially operates as an eight point scale) in favor of a much simpler and consumer friendly three “point” scale.
Again, Happy Thanksgiving everyone, and because you can’t see it, the quote in the header image is from 1 Chronicles 16:34.
