Gearbox announced that Borderlands Game of the Year Edition Remastered is coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC on April 3rd.

The remastered update will feature some quality-of-life updates that include adding a Borderlands 2 style mini-map in addition to the compass of the original game, skins and heads, shift code support, and inventory updates. Players will be able to lock and label weapons, and auto pick up items from the ground.

The final bass of the game has also been reworked due to fan feedback. It will now be “more engaging, challenging, and rewarding.”

Returning players from Borderlands 2 or The Pre-Sequel will get 75 Golden Keys from the SHiFT program.

The remaster is 4K Ultra HD with HDR visual updates.

If you own Borderlands on Steam, this update will be free for you. The price of the PS4/Xbox One version wasn’t announced.
