Watch The World Premiere Cinematic Trailer for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

Assassin's Creed Valhalla

Ubisoft has released the world premiere cinematic trailer for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Check it out below.

The game will see players assume the role of a Viking named Eivor, who can be either male or female and who can be customized in a variety of ways (hair, clothing, war paint, etc.).

Valhalla will take place in Norway and England, with England having three cities to explore (London, Winchester, and Jórvík).

Players will build a settlement that will serve as the home base and will recruit settlers. You’ll also be able to do large scale assaults and travel via your longship to lead raids.

The game is being developed by Ubisoft Montreal, who last headed Assassin’s Creed Origins (and Black Flag before that). There are 12 other Ubisoft studios and an external partner (Sperasoft) lending support.

Valhalla releases Holiday 2020. Valhalla will be a cross-gen game coming to PC, PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4 and Xbox One.

Patriot’s Position: The Game Informer article linked about has some more details. You’ll be able to upgrade and customize your gear, and you can use the same gear from beginning to the end if you want to. Combat described as brutal and things you can do in the game more dependent upon your gear and skill rather than character level (which still exist).

Will wait until we see some gameplay, but so far it sounds like it’s trying to expand on the style first introduced in Origins rather than just being the same type of thing. Nevertheless, the cinematic trailer is absolutely phenomenal and I cannot wait for this.
