WWE NXT TakeOver 31 Preview

WWE NXT TakeOver 31

Tonight, NXT present TakeOver 31 LIVE on WWE Network from the new Capitol Wrestling Center at the WWE Performance Center.

Here’s the card for tonight’s big NXT PPV:

  • NXT Champion Finn Balor defends against Kyle O’Reilly
  • NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai defends against Candace LeRae
  • NXT North American Champion Damian Priest defends against Johnny Gargano
  • NXT Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar defends against Isaiah “Swerve” Scott
  • Kushida takes on Velveteen Dream

Tonight’s NXT TakeOver marks NXT’s move away from Full Sail University, at least for a little while. Instead, NXT will now happen at the new Capitol Wrestling Center which is a fully remodeled television set at the WWE Performance Center (where RAW, Smackdown and numerous PPV’s happened this year).

Like the ThunderDome, the new Capitol Wrestling Center will feature virtual fans but it retain the look and vibe that NXT has. It’ll pay homage to the past, with the name being a throwback to the Capitol Wrestling Corporation name that eventually became WWWF/WWF/WWE. There will also be actual fans in attendance, about 100 to start with. These fans will be wrestlers, family and friends, and some actual fans.

NXT TakeOver airs LIVE tonight at 6pm CT on WWE Network!
