Big E Cashes in Money in the Bank With a Triple Threat Match

WWE superstar Big E is looking to make his money in the bank with an impressive Triple Threat match. The match is scheduled for Sept. 26 on the WWE’s Extrme Rules 2021 pay-per-view card. While neither superstar is guaranteed to walk away from the match with the WWE Championship, Big E’s presence on the card could open the door for a Triple Threat match.

Big E announced his Money in the Bank contract on SmackDown last week, and this morning it was official. He will defend the title against Bobby Lashley on Raw tonight, but WWE changed their plan after that. Big E announced the decision on social media before the show. The announcement of Big E’s Money in the Bank match comes just days before Bobby Lashley’s match with Raw Tag Team Champion Randy Orton.

Big E’s win on Money in the Bank made him the first African-American to win the contract. Big E held on to the briefcase during the entire summer, but he was then involved in a feud with Baron Corbin, who stole his briefcase. The two then fought at SummerSlam, and Big E ended up winning the contract.

WWE is changing its show plans as AEW Dynamite beat WWE RAW in the 18-49 demo last week. This could be a good opportunity for Big E to cash in his Money in the Bank contract and win the WWE Championship. However, the cash-in would most likely happen on the winner of Bobby Lashley vs. Randy Orton.

Big E is one of the most decorated and successful Superstars in WWE today. He has already won the Intercontinental Championship and the Tag Team Championship, and was also a former NXT champion. His run for the Intercontinental title proved he can win a title on his own. As a result, he has qualified for the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match in 2020.

WWE hasn’t had an eight-man tag match in a long time. Big E, however, has a new title to add to his collection. He’s joined the ranks of Kofi Kingston and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson as the fourth Black Superstar to win the WWE Championship.

Earlier in the night, Lashley had defended his title against Orton in the WWE. The match had lasted nearly 14 minutes when Big E stormed the ring with his Money in the Bank briefcase. Big E wanted to cash in on Lashley, who was tired and favouring his injured knee. After Lashley’s face-slapping attempt, Big E took his opportunity to cash in on Lashley.
