It’s been three year’s since WWE suspended Hulk Hogan from the company’s Hall of Fame and effectively blacklisted the man for using racial slurs during a private moment that Hogan did not know was being filmed.
Today, WWE has reinstated Hulk Hogan into the WWE Hall of Fame, opening the door for the Hulkster to return to WWE television.
WWE says “this second chance follows Hogan’s numerous public apologies and volunteering to work with young people, where he is helping them learn from his mistake.”
Hogan was recently inducted into the Boys & Girls Club of America Alumni Hall of Fame.
Smith’s Sentiment: It’s about time. It’s a real shame that the politically correct world in which we live in gets more outraged and offended over remarks made in private than they do about a guy being secretly filmed having sex and the tape being released without any consent. That’s not a defense of Hogan; I’ve never liked the guy. Gross invasion of privacy costing a person a lot is more troubling than some offensive words being said. With that said, please keep him off TV. The show’s are bad enough as it is.
