WWE RAW 5/20/19 Preview: Money In The Beast

RAW 5/20/19

Tonight, fresh off of a controversial Money In The Bank event, WWE RAW comes to the Times Union Center in Albany, NY.

Last night, Brock Lesnar shocked the WWE Universe when he ran down to the ring in the closing moments, climbed the ladder, and won the Money In The Bank ladder match. Sami Zayn was taking out backstage earlier in the night by an unknown assailant, assumed to be Braun Strowman. Strowman was ordered to leave the arena. The match proceeded with just seventh participants until the end when Lesnar emerged as the eight entrant taking Sami’s spot.

Seth Rollins retained the Universal Championship in a fantastic match against AJ Styles. Afterwards, the two men shook hands in a sign of respect. With Styles behind him, Rollins must now contend with having an angry Beast caring the MITB briefcase looking for revenge and to reclaim his title. What will Seth have to say about the Brock Lesnar situation?

Tonight, Mick Foley returns to Monday Night RAW to unveil WWE’s newest championship. Speculation is running rampant about what the new title will be, a Wildcard Championship, a Hardcore Championship, a mid-card title for the women, or some type of 24/7 Championship. We’ll find out tonight on RAW when the former GM makes the announcement.

Last night, Becky 2 Belts became Becky 1 Belt as the Champ Champ lost her Smackdown Women’s Championship to Charlotte Flair (who immediately lost it to MITB winner Bayley). Becky did defeat Lacey Evans, albeit after a little bit of controversy, to retain the RAW Women’s Championship. Lacey got her revenge by costing Becky her Smackdown Championship, and then proceeded to do a post-match beatdown on Becky with Charlotte. The feud between The Lady and The Man is far from over; what will Lacey have to say to Becky tonight?

RAW airs tonight at 7pm CT on USA Network!
