WWE Hall of Famer Rocky Johnson Passes Away at 75

Rocky Johnson

Sad news tonight as WWE Hall of Famer Rocky Johnson has passed away at the age of 75.

Johnson made WWE history when he and Soul Patrol partner Tony Atlas became the first African-American WWE World Tag Team Champions when they defeated the Wild Samoans in 1983.

Rocky retired from wrestling in 1991, and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2008.

Rocky Johnson is the father of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

On behalf of everyone here at Vortainment, our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Rocky Johnson.
