PlayStation and Xbox gamers get ready, Supergiant Games is finally bringing Hades to PlayStation and Xbox. The game releases on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One on August 13th.
Hades is a rogue-lite dungeon crawler touted as a Game of the Year winner. It originally released on September of 2020 on PC and Switch.
The isometric title puts players in the role of Zagreus, an immortal Prince of the Greek Underworld.
On PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, Hades will run at 4K with a target of 60fps. For PS4 and Xbox One, it’ll be 1080p with a target of 60fps. There is no cross-save feature.
Hades will be joining the Game Pass line-up at launch for both Xbox and Windows, so Game Pass subscribers on Xbox will get it “free” on release.
On the PS5 front, the game will take advantage of the DualSense controller’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
There’s also 50 trophies/achievements to earn.
Hades will be available digitally on August 13th, and will also have physicals editions that include a code for the soundtrack and a 32-page full-color character compendium booklet.
Retail and digital copies of PS4 and Xbox One also include free upgrades for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions.
Patriot’s Position: Was interested in this last year, but don’t have a Switch and I’m not much of a PC gamer. It’s about time this comes to PlayStation and Xbox.
