The first ever all-women’s WWE pay-per-view has just concluded. Below the complete results of the event which saw a championship change hands.nnTrish Stratus and Lita beat Mickie James and Alicia Fox in 11:05.nNia Jax won the battle royal to earn a future title shot.nToni Storm defeated Io Shirai in 10:20 to win the Mae Young Classic tournament.nSasha Banks, Bayley, and Natalya beat Riott Squad in 13:10.nShayna Baszler defeated Kairi Sane in 12:10 to win the NXT Women’s Championship.nBecky Lynch defeated Charlotte Flair in 28:40 in a Last Woman Standing match to retain the Smackdown Women’s Championship.nRonda Rousey beat Nikkia Bella via submission in 14:06 to retain the RAW Women’s Championship.nnThe event itself was pretty good overall. The opening tag match was fun, and it’s great to see Lita and Trish again, and particularly Trish squaring off against Mickie. ***nThe battle royal had some fun stuff and it was nice to see some of the women we haven’t seen in a while. I’m always glad to see Molly Holly for instance. **nThe Mae Young Classic finals was a very good match. I would’ve liked to have seen it get a little more time. Both women should be huge stars. ***nThe six-woman tag team match was solid, and got a little more time than I figured it would. Nothing wrong with the babyfaces winning here, and you could argue given the magnitude of the event itself that Natalya, Sasha Banks, and Bayley deserved the win. A very good outing for the Riott Squad though. ***nI’m iffy on Shayna winning the NXT Women’s Championship. If it means Kairi Sane is getting called up, then alright, but otherwise it feels premature. The match itself was the best of the night to this point. Great stuff. ****nThe Smackdown Women’s Championship Last Woman Standing match was the REAL main event. That this didn’t close the show is a crime. Becky and Charlotte deserved that and didn’t get it, but they can take comfort in knowing that they delivered a match that would’ve been Match of the Night on just about any WWE PPV and has to be on the shortlist for WWE Match of the Year. Just an absolutely phenomenal effort from both women. Becky winning was also the right call. If you missed this event, you owe it to yourself to at least track down this match. Excellent. *****nNikki/Ronda was exactly what most people expected it to be. It in no way deserved to close the show and compared to everything that came before it was a joke. It was probably the best these two could do, which isn’t saying much, but what hurt it most was it went longer than it should have. **nThe average from the star ratings I’ve assigned to each match comes out to a low three, but we’ll move that up a little bit to the “good” side of three on our review scale just so the main event and the battle royal (which I never rate very highly) don’t seem to hurt my overall thoughts on the event.
